Standard emergency types
The module includes plans for the following emergency types:- π₯ Fire
- π Earthquake
- π Flood
- π Lockdown
- π₯ Medical Emergency
What each plan records
- Status β Current, Due for Review, or Overdue (calculated automatically from the review due date)
- Last reviewed date
- Review due date
- Owner β the staff member responsible for keeping this plan current
- Plan document β upload a PDF or Word document of the actual plan
Updating a plan
Open the plan from the Emergency Plans tab and click Edit. Update the review date, owner, or any other details, then save. If youβve updated the plan document itself, upload the new version β it replaces the previous one. When a plan is reviewed and updated, set the Last reviewed date to today and push the Review due date forward. This resets the status to Current and clears any overdue flag on the dashboard. The evacuation scheme
Your fire evacuation scheme is separate from the emergency plans list β it has its own section in the module because it carries additional details specific to NZ Fire and Emergency approval. The scheme record captures:- Approval date β when NZ Fire and Emergency approved the scheme
- Review due date β when the scheme next needs to be reviewed and reapproved
- Status β Current, Due for Review, or Expired (calculated from the review due date)
- Scheme document β the approved scheme itself
The fire evacuation procedure used during drills is managed separately in the Fire Evacuation module. The evacuation scheme here is the approved building scheme document β not the drill procedure.
