The Pay Parity Educator toggle
Each staff member has a Pay Parity Educator setting on their profile Pay Parity tab. By default, all staff are included as pay parity educators. For staff who aren’t certificated teachers, toggle this off. From the staff profile, go to the Pay Parity tab. At the top you’ll see a Pay Parity Educator: Yes indicator. Click Change to toggle it off. You’ll be asked to confirm — excluding a staff member removes them from the pay parity register and RS7 attestation headcount. Any historical pay review records are preserved and still visible in their Review History. To re-include a staff member, click Set as Pay Parity Educator on their profile.Effect of excluding
- Staff member no longer appears in the Pay Parity register staff table
- Staff member is excluded from RS7 attestation headcounts
- Historical pay review records are retained and visible in Review History
- The Record Pay Review button is hidden while they’re excluded
Who should be excluded
Exclude any staff member who is not a certificated teacher. The pay parity scheme covers certificated ECE teachers specifically. If you’re unsure whether a role qualifies, check the Ministry of Education’s pay parity guidance or speak with your licensor. The Pay Parity Educator toggle requires HR access. It is a manual decision — the system never automatically excludes staff members.
